In an attempt to play on hashtags that have become a regular part of our vernacular, I explored some lessons found in Luke 19:1-10 where we learn the story of Zacchaeus. In it the crowd saw him as “them” because of his occupation and the ways that occupation inflicted pain and even oppression. Yet, the call is for us to love and seek out those with whom we are most challenged. In fact, that is why Jesus came: to seek and to save that which was lost.
