Sisters, I give you permission to live life on your own terms! Cast aside the expectations of others, set your own rules and live life to the fullest in a way that brings you complete joy.
Monique Matheson
Who are you?
Who am I. That is a great question. I am identified by the terms mom, blogger, writer, blog coach, sister, friend, daughter, lover but I like to think of myself as a lifestyle designer, living life on my own terms and encouraging others to do the same. I do this by coaching others on monetizing blogs and other online platforms so that they have the freedom to express their creativity, earn an income and set their own work hours and lifestyle rules.
Did you always dream of being where you are today? If no, then what was your dream?
Yes.
What moment or conversation changed your life?
My ex-husband years ago sent me a PDF copy of a Napoleon Hill book that forever changed my life. It was Outwitting the Devil and from there I went on to read Think and Grow Rich, The Secret and a bunch of other mindset and law of attraction books that helped me to be where I am today. These books gave me permission to step off the corporate ladder that I had long lost interest in climbing and blaze a different path for my life.ng like a victim is a choice.
What lesson learned is guiding you through life?
Mindset is everything. Choosing to worry about tomorrow robs us of the joy of today. Learning to live in the present moment, appreciating the positives and remaining grounded in gratitude helps me to lead a relatively positive, joyful life that expands in abundance the more I stay committed to this mindset. Through trials and suffering, there’s always something to be thankful for and joyful about. I try to live my life always choosing the happy thought instead of worry and strife. Worry and strife ages my skin after all! Worry lines aren’t cute on me.
