Paullia McCooty
Who are you?
Born in Jamaica, but now residing in Canada, Paullia McCooty-Green epitomizes a strong woman whose recipe for success is built on four pillars:
- quality education – earning a MBA from the University of New Orleans and a BBA in Marketing from the University of Technology, Jamaica;
- hands on experience as a marketer, sales mogul, insurance sales and claims expert having led many teams in the manufacturing, banking and insurance sectors;
- discipline – having the fortitude and sticktoitiveness to ensure that goals are achieved as planned;
- integrity – Paullia serves with integrity and lives by this mantra; “Every job is a self portrait of the person who does it. Autograph your work with excellence.” -Author unknown. Because of her mindset and her passion for great workmanship, she has been recognized many times for her stellar performance.
Paullia has not only done very well in her career but also through her philanthropic involvement with the Kiwanis Club of Eastern St. Andrew in Jamaica, where she served with pride for more than 10 years and has held many prestigious leadership positions, from Chairperson, Director, President to her current role as Distinguished President.
Characterized as an inspirational leader, those who know her best describe her as talented, brilliant, ambitious, kind, generous, the hostess with the mostest, Ms. Traveler Extraordinaire, life of the party, exceptional cook, baker, a loving wife to hubby, Delroy and mom to Roushelle, their beautiful and talented daughter. As traveler extraordinaire she has visited over 10 countries in the last five years and plans are always underway for her next trip. Paullia is now an experienced Claims Analyst at one of Canada’s largest Commercial Bank and Insurance Companies, and continues to demonstrate what it means to live life with a purpose and in true excellence.

Losing my dad at age 12.
