Sisters, I give you permission to be honest when things are not okay so that you can live a whole and full life.
Candice Alexandre
Who are you?
Hi everyone! I am a servant and lover of Jesus Christ. I have over 12 years of experience working with children and youth. Despite the challenges it may bring, I absolutely love it. I currently work in education assisting students with special needs. I hold a Bachelors in Psychology, and I’m studying to become a School Counselor. My husband, Rodney, and I are founders and directors of R.I.S.E Youth Outreach Program Inc. R.I.S.E is a 501c3 Non- profit organization that exists to Reach, Impact, Serve and Equip youth (ages 8-18) by providing outlets and resources for them to grow spiritually, physically, socially, and emotionally.
Did you always dream of being where you are today? If no, then what was your dream?
Growing up my dream was to become a Pediatrician.
What moment or conversation changed your life?
There have been many moments that have changed my life but, the one moment I recall most was over 8 years ago when my pastor asked me to serve as Youth Director. That conversation, along with many others we’ve had, has ignited my desire to serve God and contributed to my spiritual growth.
What lesson learned is guiding you through life?
One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned in life is to not be afraid, ashamed, or too prideful to ask for help.
